I would like to express my family's huge thanks to all at Reflection Funeralcare and, in particular, to Fern who was never too busy to talk, answer questions at any time. I knew we had chosen the right team when Fern told me on the phone in the early hours of Tuesday morning, that she would care for mum as if she was her own. Our mum could not have been in better hands and it was so comforting to receive regular updates with how the service could progress and the immense attention to detail. Our first contact with Fern was when mum was gravely ill and we knew as a family it needed to be someone special to care for mum from her last breath to the time we had to say our final goodbyes - and we were blessed with having Reflection Funeralcare to do all of those things. At the very lowest times of our lives, they were there to lend a guiding hand and help us with all aspects from mum leaving her home, that she shared with dad, to the smooth running of mum's Celebration of Life at Countersthorpe Crematorium. Reflections team organised a close family friends funeral. The Reflection team was outstanding from beginning to end. Nothing was to much for them and they just went above and beyond expectations. Darren and his team where also second to none with there professionalism on the day of the funeral. And as for Denise who conducted the service the way she worded his life and the compassion shown was just excellent.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to reflections team, would like to say thank you to Darren for showing compassion and empathy and also Denise who conducted the service in a way we could never have thought possible. There services went above and beyond words, ensuring my dads funeral went smoothly and he was so well cared for throughout the whole process. A thankyou to fern who kept up to date regarding all minor details. They made a very difficult time easy. Would also like to say a special thank you to Kylie & Ryan for everything you have helped me through. I can’t thank you enough when you both said you would care for my dad you both went above and beyond from collecting my dad getting to say our last goodbyes to the day of the service I knew he was in fantastic hands I will never be able to Thankyou enough . My Dad didn’t want a funeral, he wanted a direct cremation and wasn’t fussed by any of the details. Where as we were. I spent ages looking at all the national companies and all the local independents, and it just felt cold and impersonal. Most direct cremations take place miles away from where you live and you often don’t know when it takes place, theres no option for your loved one to be dressed in their clothes or to visit them in the chapel of rest, and everything was an additional charge.

Not with Reflection funeralcare, not only did they offer the best price by a mile, there was no additional charges. Dad was able to be dressed in his clothes, and we could have visited if we wanted. We were offered lockets of hairs or finger prints, and little hearts to put in his coffin. Small gestures that mean the world. Fern, has been amazing throughout, and the additional touches we were offered really made the difference to us. We were able to fulfil Dads wish of direct cremation, without compromising our wishes for him. He was kept and cremated locally on a day we could choose. It felt personal and dignified. Fern took the time to ask us questions about dad, such as what music he liked so she could play it for him. She has remained in touch throughout and offered support where needed.

If anyone is considering a direct cremation, please know that it can still be a personal experience and the one advertised on tv is not the only option. Reflection Funeralcare Ltd made the process for us so much easier, and dad would have been chuffed with their service ( and price). Ive already told my Nan that’s where she is going!

This was our first time planning a funeral and it’s daunting and at a time where everything seems difficult I can honestly say from start to finish everyone at reflections were amazing and took care of everything above and beyond we were almost treated like family , Fern was amazing and was always at the end of the phone to do anything we needed , also Darren with the special touches being a Chelsea fan like my dad felt more of a friend I can’t recommend them enough they cared for my dad in their beautiful funeral home with the utmost respect and care and even after the lovely keepsakes and emails to check in , we can’t thank them enough ! we highly recommend these amazing people .
